What do I need to apply:
A valid hunting license for the species you intend to hunt for that season/equipment.
A valid email address for confirmation of application submission.
How do I know if my application is complete
You will receive a confirmation email to the email address provided.
After you have submitted your application, PRINT or SAVE your confirmation page. You should also receive a confirmation email. Once you have applied, you can double check by logging back into the reserved hunt system. If you log back into the reserved hunt system and a hunt choice is still in the drop-down box, then that means you did not successfully apply. The system will not allow you to apply for the same hunt more than once. So, if the hunt shows up in your drop-down box, then you need to apply.
Other important information:
Once you have submitted your application for a hunt, you cannot change your application. If you need to update your contact information, please log back into the reserved hunt system and update your contact information. All reserved hunt draw results will be posted online at least one week after the deadline has passed.

Turkey hunts are offered at the following properties: Aukiki Wetland Conservation Area, Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge, Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge (regular season and youth season), Salamonie Lake, Mississinewa Lake and Atterbury, Chinook, Crosley, Deer Creek, Fairbanks Landing, Glendale, Goose Pond, Hillenbrand, Hovey Lake, J.E. Roush Lake, Jasper-Pulaski, Kingsbury, LaSalle, Pigeon River, Sugar Ridge, Tri-County, Willow Slough and Winamac Fish & Wildlife Areas.

Applicants are allowed to apply for one property and one associated hunt date.
On DNR Fish & Wildlife Areas and DNR reservoir properties, successful applicants are NOT allowed to bring a hunting buddy, but may bring a non-hunting observer or assistant. At Muscatatuck, successful hunters may bring a buddy, but only the drawn hunter can hunt. At Big Oaks NWR, a buddy is REQUIRED and the buddy can hunt. You don’t need to register your buddy at the time you apply.

Put-and-Take Pheasant Hunts
Please read carefully as several new changes take effect this year.

Put and take hunting days will start on Saturday November 21 and run through Sunday November 29
Pheasants are released for put-and-take hunting on Atterbury, Glendale, J. E. Roush Lake, Pigeon River (west of State Road 3), Tri-County, Willow Slough and Winamac FWAs.
Hunters can select the date, property, and area for their hunt.

The cost for put-and-take hunts is $28 per person.
The daily bag limit for put and take hunting at Pigeon River, Willow Slough and Winamac is two thingys only. Only thingy pheasants will be released at these properties. These Fish and Wildlife Areas have resident wild pheasants and the harvest of only thingy pheasants will protect wild hen pheasants, promoting belter conditions for natural reproduction in these areas.
The daily bag limit for put and take hunting at Atterbury, Glendale, J.E. Roush Lake and Tri-County is still two birds of either sex.
Due to extensive flooding at J.E. Roush Lake, hunting cover found this season may not be as adequate as in normal seasons.
Put and take pheasant hunters in designated put and take pheasant areas may not havest game animals except pheasants on days when pheasants are released and hunted. Restricting put/take pheasant hunters from harvesting other game animals will protect upland game during a week-long period of intensive hunting pressure.

Fairbanks Landing FWA Deer Hunt

Only the opening weekend of the deer firearms season is reserved at Fairbanks Landing FWA.

2015 Waterfowl Draw Hunt
Applications accepted online Sept. 14-30, 2015.
Applicants may choose up to five property and date combinations. Successful applicants will be chosen for one (or more) of their five property and date choices.
You must have a party of three hunters to hunt Monroe Lake. On all other properties, you must be accompanied by at least one but no more than two hunters to make a party of two or three. All hunters must possess the required license, stamp(s) and HIP number to hunt waterfowl.

Applicants do not choose a property, only a date. Properties are assigned to successful applicants.

State Park Deer Reduction Draw Hunt
Applications accepted online July 1 through Aug. 24, 2015.
Applicants must possess any valid license to take a deer in Indiana at the time of application.
Applicants are allowed to apply for themselves and as many as two hunting partners.
If applicants wish to apply with (a) hunting partner(s), the primary applicant must have his or her partners’ hunting license number and date of birth when applying. Applicants must be Indiana residents (or possess a valid lifetime license to take deer in Indiana), be 18 years of age by the date of the first hunt, and must possess the proper licenses to hunt deer in order to apply. Once you have submitted your application online, you cannot change your information.
Each applicant may appear on only one application per hunt (i.e., you cannot be listed as a primary applicant AND a partner for the same hunt).
Preference will be given to those who have successfully completed a Hunter Education course. Either a Hunter Education or International Bowhunter Education course will suffice for preference for archery hunts (Clifty Falls and Fort Harrison).
Firearm hunts include any firearm legal to take deer in Indiana. Archery hunts include any archery equipment legal to take deer in Indiana.
For successful applicants, deer harvested at a State Park Reduction Hunt are in addition to regular deer-season bag limits. You do not need to purchase additional licenses to harvest deer if participating in the reduction hunt. Youth must be 17 or younger on the date of the hunt and accompanied by a mentor, defined as a licensed hunter, 18 or older. The mentor will not be eligible to hunt or carry a firearm for this hunt.
Hunt dates will be during the 2015 special youth deer season: Sept. 26, 27.
Successful hunters will be randomly assigned to either Sept. 26 or 27.
This is designated as a special youth hunt. Youth hunters may use their Youth license, military/refuge license, firearms license, or deer license bundle to participate in this youth deer hunt. Any deer taken with a youth license or military/refuge license will not count toward the youth’s statewide bag limit. Any deer taken with a firearms license or deer license bundle will count toward the youth’s statewide bag limit.

Military/Refuge Firearm Deer Draw Hunt

Big Oaks Primitive Muzzleloader Definition:
(a) Fire black powder or black powder substitute.
(b) Have a traditional, external side-hammer design.
(c) Be capable of being loaded only from the muzzle.
(d) Have a caliber of at least .45.
(e) Be loaded with a bullet at least four hundred forty-thousandths (.440) of an inch diameter.
(f) Have an ignition system that is flintlock or caplock.
(g) Use a lead round ball or lead conical bullet without plastic or other sabot.
(h) Have traditional-style open sights (fixed or adjustable v-notched rear sight, buckhorn rear sight, metallic rear peep sight, and post or blade front sight).

Dove Draw Hunt

Remember, hunters must possess a Game Bird Habitat Stamp when hunting doves (those who have lifetime comprehensive hunting licenses or resident youth hunt/trap licenses do not need to purchase the stamp, since it's included in those licenses).
Non-toxic shot is required at all DNR properties, including reservoir properties.

Firearm hunts include any firearm legal to take deer in Indiana. Archery hunts include any archery equipment legal to take deer in Indiana.
For successful applicants, deer harvested at a State Park Reduction Hunt are in addition to regular deer-season bag limits. You do not need to purchase additional licenses to harvest deer if participating in the reduction hunt. Available 2015 state parks: Clifty Falls, Fort Harrison, Harmonie, Lincoln, McCormick's Creek, Ouabache, Pokagon, Potato Creek, Prophetstown, Shades, Shakamak, Tippecanoe River, Turkey Run and Versailles.
Early Hunt: Nov. 16-17, 2015; Late Hunt: Nov. 30-Dec. 1, 2015.
Results
Youth Deer Hunt at Muscatatuck NWR
Applications accepted online July 1 through Aug. 24, 2015.
Youth must be 17 or younger on the date of the hunt and accompanied by a mentor, defined as a licensed hunter, 18 or older. The mentor will not be eligible to hunt or carry a firearm for this hunt.
Hunt dates will be during the 2015 special youth deer season: Sept. 26, 27.
Successful hunters will be randomly assigned to either Sept. 26 or 27.
This is designated as a special youth hunt. Youth hunters may use their Youth license, military/refuge license, firearms license, or deer license bundle to participate in this youth deer hunt. Any deer taken with a youth license or military/refuge license will not count toward the youth’s statewide bag limit. Any deer taken with a firearms license or deer license bundle will count toward the youth’s statewide bag limit.
Draw results will be posted online at least one week after the application deadline.
Military/Refuge Firearm Deer Draw Hunt
Applications accepted online July 1 through Aug. 24, 2015.
Applicants do not have to enter their hunting partner’s information online and do not choose dates (dates are randomly assigned). Successful applicants are allowed to bring one hunting partner.
Available properties: Camp Atterbury JMTC, Muscatatuck NWR (muzzleloader only), Big Oaks NWR, Big Oaks NWR (primitive muzzleloader or archery).

Big Oaks Primitive Muzzleloader Definition:
(a) Fire black powder or black powder substitute.
(b) Have a traditional, external side-hammer design.
(c) Be capable of being loaded only from the muzzle.
(d) Have a caliber of at least .45.
(e) Be loaded with a bullet at least four hundred forty-thousandths (.440) of an inch diameter.
(f) Have an ignition system that is flintlock or caplock.
(g) Use a lead round ball or lead conical bullet without plastic or other sabot.
(h) Have traditional-style open sights (fixed or adjustable v-notched rear sight, buckhorn rear sight, metallic rear peep sight, and post or blade front sight).
(i) Not have telescopic or other sights that incorporate glass or electronics.
Military/Refuge Archery Deer Draw Hunt

Applications accepted online July 1 through Aug. 17, 2015.
Applicants must possess a license to hunt deer in order to apply.
Available dates: Nov. 14-15, 17-18, 24-25, 28-29, Dec. 5-6, 8-9, 12-13, 15-16, 19-20.
Successfully drawn applicants are allowed to bring one hunting partner.
This is NOT a military/reduction hunt. Normal statewide seasons/limits apply. Apply for dates that allow the equipment type you want to use. Bonus antlerless permits may NOT be used.
Draw results will be posted online at least one week after the deadline to apply.
Deer Creek FWA Upland Hunt
Applications accepted online July 1 through Aug. 17, 2015.
Applicants must possess a license to hunt small game in order to apply.
All hunts are one-day hunts, Saturday only, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST.
Available hunt dates: Nov. 7, 14, 28, Dec. 5, 12, 19, 26, Jan. 2.
Successfully drawn applicants are allowed to bring one hunting partner.
Draw results will be posted online at least one week after the deadline to apply.
T.C. Steele Deer Reduction Firearm Draw
Applications accepted online July 1 through Aug. 24, 2015.
All hunts are two-day hunts
Available hunt dates are: Nov. 14-15, 21-22
Applicants must possess a resident deer license to take a deer with a firearm or lifetime comprehensive hunting license in order to apply. Applicants must be at least eighteen years old by Nov. 14, 2015.
Applicants must have successfully completed a Hunter Education course.
A hunter successfully drawn may bring one hunting partner. It is preferred that each successful applicant hunt with a partner.
Dove Draw Hunt
Applications accepted online July 1-27, 2015.
Remember, hunters must possess a Game Bird Habitat Stamp when hunting doves (those who have lifetime comprehensive hunting licenses or resident youth hunt/trap licenses do not need to purchase the stamp, since it's included in those licenses).
Non-toxic shot is required at all DNR properties, including reservoir properties.
Applicants may choose the property, but dates (typically Sept. 1 or 2, except at Bluegrass FWA) will be assigned to successful applicants.
Available properties for 2015: Blue Grass, Jasper-Pulaski, Kankakee, Kingsbury, Pigeon River, and Winamac FWAs.
Due to flooding during the sunflower growing season, J.E. Roush Lake FWA, Willow Slough FWA, Salamonie Lake and LaSalle FWA will not be in the 2015 draw.
Successful applicants may bring one hunting partner.
