I know this might sound funny but I cannot tell you how many times in the last 35 years, people have actually told me .. "You can't kill a deer with a cva". OF course they were referring to "Their Muzzleloader" as being somehow superior to a CVA and I am amazed as to how many people actually think this way.
Now-a-days when somebody says that to me, I ask them what kind of muzzleloader do they have and they will say "Well I only Buy the Best" and mine is brand "X", then I ask them "How many deer did you get with your brand "X" this year and they say ... Nothing, Didn't even see one. NOW I have a theory on this, I believe these people have told themselves SO MANY times that CVA's cannot kill a deer that the Deer have been listening and the deer have begun to believe it themselves.
We all know that deer have excellent eyesight and when they see a hunter in a stand holding a brand "X", the deer simply turn and go a different way........ HOWEVER......... When a deer sees a hunter holding a CVA, the deer laughs and walks really close to the hunter as to taunt him ......... biggest mistake that deer ever made.
Lures, scents, trails, rubs, scrapes, UV light eliminator, scent blocker and all the other junk that's out on the market ..... use it all and if you're still not getting any deer ....... throw your brand "X" in the trash and buy a CVA
