Hello, I was a member here about five years or so ago and I think I vaguely remember when this was an msn group. Anyway I'm moving back to Indiana in the spring after several years in Kansas. I used to fish Starve Hollow Lake a lot, and occasionally the pits near Dugger at Green Sullivan State Forest. I'm wondering if anybody here ever fished Tucker Lake, a.k.a. Springs Valley in Orange County in the Hoosier National Forest?

Welcome back panfishhunter, Wow its been quite a while sine this was an MSN group but since MSN canceled their "GROUPS" we had to start another ... Guess that's progress.
Tucker (Spring Valley) is located in Spring Valley State Fish & Wildlife Area and is a 141 acre lake just packed full of Big Bluegill 10 - 14 inches long can be caught there. The INDNR has also been stocking it with Channel Catfish for a number of years now, Some nice crappie & Large Mouth Bass to boot.
Are you moving back to the Southern part of the State ??
My Wife's family is from North Vernon and every time I get down there I try to hit a lake or stream just to give it a try, there are so many out-of-the-way places down there and every time I go I discover something new.

I'm headed to southern Indiana, probably Brownstown or Seymour area in the spring. I love that part of Indiana because of all of those out of the way fishing spots and campgrounds. It's almost like being in the mountains in some areas down there.

I agree, It's a Great area down there .... You might want to go to Wall-Mart and pick up a copy of "The Sports-mans Connection"
www.sportsmansconnection.com/Indiana/fishingbooks/southern/
It will give you more Information on where to go. Again, Welcome to the group and Please don't be afraid to post your adventures so the rest of us can see how your doing.
Maybe someday, if the Lord willing and the creek don't rise, we can get together and share some water.
