I drove across the bridge at Norway Dam In Monticello, it was a sight to see with all three gates open. I stopped, rolled my window down and "BAM" it hit me, the overpowering smell (I started to salivate) I've smelt this smell many times before and theirs no mistaking it. What is it? its the UN-mistaken aroma of Pre-Spawning Walleye, yes Walleye ... Big ones too and I know how to catch them .. Do you? I have found that "STORM LURES" (soft baits)work very well and have a link for your enjoyment, If you've never tried STORM LURES you might want to re-think and add a few of these Walleye killers to your arsenal. www.stormlures.com/

link goes to a error page. How is the walleye fishing there? and how often do you catch them during the spawn?

That sounds great George, just as long as your NEW spot, isn't one of my OLD spots LOL
Yes Mike, I changed it after you said it didn't work. Also there are Walleye just about every-ware but its the intrepid that seek them out of their rocky abodes, that claim victory. Just to walk down to the river bank, toss your bait into the water and catch Walleye, I'm sure there are places like that but everyone else would know that too.

Ya-Know, Mike, I was looking at our Indiana map and Martin's Ville is not really that far away. I'm sure I could gather George, Kevin & myself to come down for a day of introduction and all around sharing of fish slaying tips. Maybe sometime this Spring/summer, I'd like to plan in advance so we don't catch anyone off guard.
What do you all think ?

sounds good to me~! You guys surely have way more to share with me than I do you. I feel like I have been outta the game for a while since I got the three little girls, I still get out when I can, but not nearly as much as I used to, and most of the time I go the kids go with me so it makes it a little harder to stay out at as long as I would like and hit all the spots I want to.. lol I think it will get a little easier on me when they get a little bit older.
Either way, set up a date sometime and I will show ya around down here or we can meet somewhere else in a park or lake or something, I got a fishing trip planned on the weekend of May 19th up to Lake Michigan.
