Seems every winter "WE" warm weather fishermen need some activity to keep us focused during the winter and not go crazy, I find a great deal of joy in cleaning out and re-arranging my tackle boxes. After 35 years of marriage, My wife finally gave me my own room It use to belong to my daughter and when she moved out my wife gave the room to me for a den. She still cannot believe how organized I keep it especially with everything I have. Well anyway, I set up a card table and cover it with an old sheet. Then I take my big items out of my tackle box and set them aside, then I "Dump" everything else out on the table and start sorting through it. If you take a tooth brush and apply a torch to the handle just behind the brush, bending it to a 90 degree upward. This will make a super scrubber that will enable you to get the crud out of those hard to reach corners in your tackle box trays. I have found little 1x2 or 2x2 zip lock bags in craft shops work great for loose hooks & sinkers, of course I have to keep my door shut so my cat doesn't come and swat the lures on the table. I try NOT to be in a hurry in cleaning and re organizing, I enjoy taking my time because winter always lasts longer than we want it to. THEN after my tackle box is taken care of, I turn my attention to my rods and reels. What activities do you do to keep focused ? Do you have any helpful advice for others ?

I have worked in several new lures this winter. Also worked allot on my sites. My sites keep me too busy I am afraid. Nature of the beast.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk while I should be fishing! Or making lures.
