I have been using the "SPORTSMAN'S CONNECTION" a Valuable Resource for finding where I want to fish and especially What I want to fish for. Its a Indiana Fishing Map Guide and it comes in two volumes. www.sportsmansconnection.com/It will take some reading about each lake however I believe it is the single most valuable source of information available in book forum to the fisherman. Example, I opened volume one at random and I'm on page 68 ware I find "FISH LAKE & ROYER LAKE", the book says these lakes are located in LaGrange County .... the closest town is Plato ... Fish Lake is 100 acres and Royer Lake is 69 acres The book tells me about any public accesses, lake depth, where to find it on the map, .... speed limits and motor size ..... It also gives a description of the lake and where to fish. .... Fish stocking data and most importantly it gives a list of fish in these lakes. Say I'm looking for some Perch, well a survey was done 7/26/85 and it stated that 52 perch were collected and they ranged in size from 3.3 inches to 10.7 inches, of course there are more than likely bigger perch in the lake. . they just avoided the surveyors nets. My books are rather old and I still use them, they cost about $20 each and I bought mine at Wall-Mart
