Hidden Treasures, You know, things you already have but you lost or misplaced or just can't find anywhere. So it is with me, all hunting season I've been looking for a new pair of jersey gloves ... a simple task considering I've gotten several bundles of 12pr pr bundle hidden somewhere in my den /slash/ hunting room, put somewhere I knew I'd be able to find them when I needed them. I said to the wife "WIFE, NOW THAT HUNTING SEASON IS OVER I AM GOING TO CLEAN MY DEN /slash/ HUNTING ROOM" and hopefully find some things I've thought I've lost. It's a good thing I have this week off cuz its going to be a major task, sorting through all the stuff I've thrown about, stuff I've dumped out of one container and then another, clothing, hangers, old gloves, boots, muzzle loader balls, caps& primers, quick-loads and much more. I've decided to gather up stuff I haven't used in several years and set it off to one side for a possible yard sale, then I'm going to make a list of everything and a note to myself as to where it is .... hopefully I won't loose the note. Actually its kinda fun digging through all the tackle boxes that I keep my hunting surplus items in, kinda like finding Treasures I've forgotten I had.

Well I found all my jersey gloves + several other wool gloves I didn't now I had, found two powder horns, 25 - 410 slugs and my "Golden 39A" (thought I lost it) hung up all my cloths and found a case of ammo (not sure what kind yet) and a couple hats & scarfs.
Not quite finished yet, have several other totes to look through and a couple ruck-sacks. If I keep finding things ... I'll be cleaning out the barn next.

Who don't love putting on a jacket or coat from last year and sticking your hand in the pockets and pulling out green money you had forgot you put there. Even if it was your own cash, it feels great finding it LOL

I wanted to bring this thread up to the front page to let our guests and members see what is possible when you join a group where everyone has a common interest, Gill & I didn't know each other. In fact I had joined (many years ago) SAM's group and just started posting my fishing adventures up & down the Tippicanoe, Wabash & Eel River's, Lake Freeman and other lakes.
There were MANY people responding to my posts (non of whom I knew) but one guy said he lived in Monticello (just 20 miles away) and loved to fish Lake Freeman, So I invited him on a fishing trip, It was an odd feeling for both of us meeting for the first time face to face. As time went by we found ourselves spending more & more time fishing, lakes, Rivers & streams ..... we even caught some fish.
Best of all, we really became the best of friends. Its because we are friends we are able to tease each other (love & respect)
Yeah chatting on the internet is OK but Getting out and sharing some adventures with a total stranger and having that willingness to step outside your comfort zone, That's the Spice of Life.
