I don't know if I would know what GINSENG is, even if it came up and bit me
I've started pruning & trimming the trails the deer use, I'm planning on using their trails to move back & forth to my tree blinds. Deer are like people, they will always take the path of least resistance.

Well, I've started pruning my shooting ranges .... I'll sit in my stand and look around to see what kind of tree branches & willow bushes are blocking my shots and I'm cutting them down.
I pile up the limbs to create places for rabbits to hide & raise their young. I'm paying close attention to where the deer are traveling and am trying to gain the best vantage point possible.
These new loppers are a dream to use but I see I'm going to have to get the ladder out and use the old trusty bow saw to get some of the bigger trees trimmed.
I've also noticed that many of the trails have changed since last year and I may have to move my west side stand East about 60 yards. All of the other stands seem to be placed in neutral areas that look out over several good runs.

My brother came out yesterday and brought his chain saw, its great having family that will help prune shooting ranges for this years hunt.
We trimmed some trees in the center of the field that were giving us some problems last year. then we went for a walk and found some really nice rubs & scrapes.
I'm going out tonight to take care of some swamp willows that are really getting to big and are obstructing my view from my stand down by the creek.
many more trails this year, most of my stands are in really fantastic locations but I'm still thinking about moving the West stand .... Ether further East along the sand hill or South along the Horse corral .... I'll have to see what each has to offer.
