Yesterday we has a truly fantastic day, when we arrived at Fort Ouiatenon it was raining so we put our muck boots and our Frog Toggs on. After entering the gates we instantly began eating ... Pork-chops, ........... Rabbit Stew, ...........Apple Dumplings. Turkey legs, ........ Meat Cakes (some french name) Buffalo burgers, ........ Hot Apple cider ........... Voyager stew. After about an hour the rain stopped and the sun came out to make for a really beautiful day, the Vendors were friendly and very informative about the 17th century clothing and life stiles. In the merchants tents we found .... Candles, candle holders, soap, pots & Pans (cast iron) clothing, Muskets, Swards, Bows & Arrows, Knives, Muzzle loaders, boots, hats, perfume, and much much more. Here is a map of the grounds, its much larger than it looks = www.tcha.mus.in.us/grounds.htmVendors and Crafts will give you an idea what we had to choose from when it came to eating and believe me there was allot of food there to choose from. = www.tcha.mus.in.us/vendors.htmIf you have never been, it is truly worth your time ... the sights, smells and the events make for a fantastic and memorable time.

Actually this year it wasn't crowded at all, I think with unemployment and the increased entrance fee people just can't afford it.
This is the first year I haven't seen the "American Indian" at the Feast, usually they have the grand stand area around the fort.
