Yesterday I received the 10 day forecast and it "Showed" sunny skies for the next ten days ... So this morning I get up (with a smile on my face) and eat breakfast with the wife and I head outside to build a Kayak Rack on the side of the barn.
Have all my tools laid out with all the lumber, nails, ect.. I'm going to need and then ... the skies start clouding up, I here Thunder in the West, It really starts getting dark out .... Then I could here the rain coming.
Mad dash into the barn with my arms full of tools and I thought I'd stay dry inside the barn just drinking my "Mega Mug" of coffee ... But Wait!! I can't find my Mega Mug anywhere ... I look out into the poring rain and I see it .... It's on a saw horse and the cap is open "AARG" I run out into the Gusher and grab my coffee and ZIPPP BOOM a lightning strike not more than a hundred yards away.
Needless to say I kept right on running to the house and got in just in time to have the power go out.
they should flog these weathermen/women every time they get it wrong.

Was raining on my way to work this morning, but in a couple hours it turned sunny and HOT. Calling for rain here tonight and tomorrow. Why dont you just get a couple 16 penny nails and nail the YAK to the side of the barn??

Put it up, take it down Put it up, take it down Put it up, take it down, too many holes in the barn wall I built a Yak storage area on the North side if the barn away from the sunlight .... it also made me clean up the yard. Perhaps I'll build the wife some bird feeders today.
